Step 1

You will need pre-tipped strands of hair, a threading tool, shrinkies, a hair template, and smooth installation pliers for installation.

Step 2

Section client's hair. Sectioning should start at the base of the head 1"-2" from the clients bottom most hair line. The section shown should be the last row you do and is the closest to the top of the head that you should go.

Step 3

Gather a small area of client's hair.

 

Step 4

Thread Shrinkie on to the threading tool. Hook a small section of hair.

Step 5

Thread Shrinkie on to hair.

Step 6

Insert a pre-tipped extension strand into Shrinkie.

Step 5

Position the link 1/3 to 1/2 inch away from the scalp. Apply the hot fusion over the shrinkie and clamp down for 4-7 seconds until the Shrinkie tightly shrinks down over the extension strand.

Step 5

Using finger protectors, quickly roll the melted bond in between your thumb and forefinger until it hardens.

Step 6

Finished application.

Removal Step 1

Apply 1-2 drops of acetone (or bond remover) to the bond and then begin crunching it between a pair of ridged tooth pliers. Give the bond a 1/4 turn and continue crunching. The bond should begin to loosen.

 

Removal Step 2

 Once the bond loosens hold the root with one hand and gently pull the extension away from your head while holding on the very end of the extension strand.
